Thankfully there is a mod manager that can be used to toggle between Online and Offline games. If you run an Offline Mod in an online game it will cause rollbacks and crashes. Thankfully, the offline mods usually start with "Offline If you try to play an Offline-Only mod in an Online game, you'll get errors and rollbacks. Some mods can only be used in Offline mode. If you don't use the default location, some mods won't work. Is origin installed in the default directory? It should be in C:\Program Files (x86)\Origin\ and the games should be in C:\Program Files (x86)\Origin Games\SimCity\SimCityData. If you can't get one to work, try another to make sure it's not the mod itself with the problem. Make sure the first one works before installing additional ones. Try installing only one and see if it works. If you're downloading your mod from simtropolis, make sure you've signed in to your account. If it comes with a readme.txt file make sure to check that out to make sure there's not some other process. Steam app will keep your mods updated and synchronize subscriptions between your devices.Note: Sometimes mods will have different installation routines. This method is the simplest and more preferable. Wait until files are downloaded (make sure your Steam app is running and has access to the Internet). Visit mod’s page and click the Subscribe button (you should be logged in). Find the desired mod at Cities: Skylines Workshop page. It should look like this: Saves/ExampleSaveGame.crp.

Alternatively, you can copy directory with. It should look like this: Maps/ExampleMap.crp. It should look like this: Addons/Mods/Example Mod/ExampleMod.dll (mod’s directory name doesn’t really matter). Consider all other paths in the guide from this directory. User data directory for Cities: Skylines is located at C:\Users\%USERNAME%\AppData\Local\Colossal Order\Cities_Skylines\. If you want to install mods manually, we recommend the first location since it should not be affected if you decide to temporarily uninstall the game or move it to another library.
Navigate to Content Manager from the game’s main menu and enable desired items.įor Cities: Skylines mods and assets can be stored in user data, game installation directory and Steam Workshop downloads directory. Restart the game, so that it can load new items. Unpack mod file(s)/folder(s) to appropriate location (see instructions below). Find the desired mod at this site (or any other source you find reliable) and download it.
